The project was done in partnership with Auburn’s Cross Cultural Center for Excellence. Each student partnered with a different student organization to highlight a holiday or heritage month. This poster is celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month. Since this is such a diverse area, the poster design is a collage of significant Asian and Pacific Islander imagery. It features things like photos of temples, illustrated calligraphy, and even WWII internment camp documents. The collage is encased in typography, just as all these people are unified under their identity as Americans. The intention is to celebrate both this identity as well as their unique heritage.
